Noom vs WeightWatchers for GLP-1 Users (2026)

Noom and WeightWatchers (WW) both offer a behavior program plus a medical track that can prescribe GLP-1 medicines if you qualify. Noom leans on psychology-based daily lessons, a color-coded food system and chat coaching. WW uses its Points system, coach chat and in-person or virtual Workshops. For GLP-1 users, Noom offers a GLP-1 Companion with protein tracking and workouts, and WW offers a GLP-1 Success Program and a Care Team through Med+. Cancellation rules differ too: Noom has a 14-day refund window for initial Noom Weight charges, and WW's refunds are much more limited.

Cost

Noom. Noom's pricing FAQ lists Noom Weight plans by length. As of November 4, 2026, it shows $70 for 1 month, $159 for 3 months, $179 for 6 months and $209 for 12 months, before taxes or discounts. Noom says all Noom Weight plans bill automatically and renew unless you cancel, and your price may vary with promotions or how you sign up. Noom Med pricing is separate.

WeightWatchers. On November 4, 2026, WW's plans page listed introductory offers for its Core, Core+ and Med+ memberships, including one that ends November 9, 2026. Because these are limited-time offers, we haven't listed them as standard prices. WW's offer terms say its plans auto-renew unless canceled, and that GLP-1 medicine costs aren't included in Med+.

For GLP-1 users: Neither membership price covers your medicine itself. Check your insurance and pharmacy costs separately.

Coaching and support

Noom says it gives all users instant access to automated and human-led coaching via chat. It says many of its coaches are board-certified health professionals. For more on their training, see are Noom coaches certified?

WW says its coaches are trained in its nutrition and behavior change science. You can chat with them in the app, and they lead in-person and virtual Workshops. WW also has a member community.

If you want live group meetings, WW is the one of the two that offers Workshops. If you'd rather work one-on-one in an app, both offer chat.

Whichever program you choose, the daily habits are what carry you. Olive is a health companion that checks in with you every day, looks at what you eat, and helps you build small habits that actually hold. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything.

GLP-1 programs

Both companies now have a medical track that can prescribe GLP-1 medicines if a clinician decides you qualify.

Noom Med. Noom says Noom Med gives you access to a qualified clinician who can prescribe weight-loss medicines, along with the same methods as Noom Weight. Its GLP-1 Companion with Muscle Defense adds protein tracking, high-protein recipes and on-demand workouts. Noom says not all customers will qualify for a prescription.

WW Med+. WW says Med+ includes virtual appointments with board-certified clinicians and access to GLP-1 and other weight-loss medicines if you qualify. Members who get medication through WW also get a Care Team of clinicians, fitness coaches and registered dietitians. WW also promotes a GLP-1 Success Program.

Already have a prescription? You may not need a medical track at all. Either company's standard behavior program can sit alongside care from your own prescriber.

If you're comparing medical options more broadly, Olive's Protocol is one more to look into; prescriptions are only written after a medical consultation with a licensed provider.

Food approach

Noom focuses on why you eat, not just what. It uses daily lessons, a color-coded food system and food logging.

WW uses its Points system, which turns nutrition data into one number per food. WW says you can spend your Points how you want and customize the program in the app if you have diabetes or are breastfeeding.

On a GLP-1, appetite often drops a lot. Whatever system you use, make sure you're still getting enough protein. Noom's GLP-1 Companion tracks protein directly. With WW, ask your coach or dietitian how to adjust.

Cancellation and refunds

Noom. Noom says you can cancel in the app or on the web through its Subscription Portal. If you signed up through the Apple or Google app store, you cancel there. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You keep full access until the end of your current billing cycle. Initial Noom Weight subscription or add-on charges may be eligible for a refund if you reach out within 14 days of purchase.

WeightWatchers. WW says you can cancel online. For standard monthly plans, cancellation takes effect at the end of the membership month. For commitment plans, it takes effect at the end of the commitment period. WW's membership terms say fees generally can't be refunded once a billing or commitment period starts. Exceptions include canceling within 3 days of your first purchase (or another period required by law), certain medical reasons, and some moves or Workshop closures.

If you're not sure you'll stick with it, the length of your commitment matters more than the monthly price.

Which fits you better?

There's no single winner. It depends on what you want:

  • You like group support and a points system: WW's Workshops and Points may suit you.
  • You want lessons on the psychology of eating: Noom's daily lessons are built around that.
  • You want protein tracking for a GLP-1: Noom's GLP-1 Companion lists it directly.
  • You want flexibility to leave: Noom's 14-day refund window on initial Noom Weight charges is more generous than WW's terms.
